由名古屋大學農學院的Dr. Kyoji Kondo at Nagoya開發。來自日本fancy mice (Nishiki-Nezumi) 的肉桂色毛色族群。
描述

NC/Nga小鼠源於日本fancy mice (Nishiki-Nezumi),並於1955年建立為一個近交系品系。當這些小鼠在一般環境下飼養時,會發展出類似於異位性皮膚炎(atopic dermatitis)的皮膚病變,但在無特定病原環境下(SPF)飼養時則不會。此品系對X射線輻射和卵清蛋白(ovalbumin)引起的過敏性休克(anaphylactic shock)有高度敏感性。
